Heated Footrests

Every winter, office workers start up space heaters to help warm the area near their desks. However, space heaters use a lot of energy, up to 1,500 watts and much of it doesn’t stay where you need it, rising up and away into the rest of the building. It’s far more efficient to heat something directly, as you might with heated seats, heated steering wheels or heated blankets. A heated foot rest works the same way, heating your feet and by extension the rest of your body directly and efficiently, using only 90 – 250 watts, 6% – 17% of the electricity used by a space heater.
